Feng Shui My Turning Point

Feng Shui started off as a curiosity. Studying the ancient art was just a start however, I needed to experience it first hand to believe. After all, you can’t preach what you don’t truly believe in and one turns into a believer when he experiences things first hand. Is Feng Shui real? Does it really work? How does it work? What would I experience or not? What if I did it wrong? There were so many other questions without answers that were literally blending in my head. One thing was for sure, what had I to lose, besides some time?

What have you to lose, besides some time?

I jumped into the car and headed to Ikea with the intention to get a small inexpensive desk, one that’s enough to comfortably fit a laptop with space for a notebook or an iPad. If the desk had wheels all the better, but I knew better than to have my hopes up. The desk needs to be small so it could be easily moved around. After all, I was practicing Feng Shui which, for my intent, included moving the desk around to experience the effect.

The next day, with the desk assembled, I armed myself with a state of the art compass (iPhone Compass app), a printed floor plan with the center of the house marked and some guts. The table was placed in the North sector where the Academic Star was gleaming for the year and positioned to face East.

Thereafter, I spent hundreds of hours at this cramped up desk learning Chinese Metaphysics. The focus I experienced was like before. My grades in school would have had seen better days with such focus. So much so that after completing the advanced Feng Shui course, Qi Men Dun Jia’s advance course was added under my belt. Was it the Academic Star (Flying Star 4) at play? I wish I could disagree or find some excuses to make me disbelief.

The year 2020 is the Metal Rat with the Academic Star visiting the South West sector, so take a wild guess which sector of my home I’m writing this article from :-). Why not give it a shot as you really have nothing to lose and lots to gain! You don’t need to have a desk or any additional furniture, keep it simple, simply read or study in the South West sector!
