Every year, before the Chinese New Year, you’d hear individuals and families whom embrace Feng Shui preparing their homes for the year to come. As the heavenly energies re-align themselves, we so blatantly re-position ourselves to harness the positives while avoiding the negatives.
By preparing, I don’t mean the spring cleaning you see the neighbors embarking on weeks before the Chinese New Year with their kids. You’d likely be fortunate to see the kids sweep and wipe unwillingly as they are marshaled by higher authority.
Preparing the home for the year ahead from a Feng Shui perspective involves identifying the good and bad sectors of the home. From there, activities such as minor renovation, re-positioning furniture, re-purposing rooms take place.
Let’s keep this simple. During the Metal Rat of the year 2020 (that begins on the 25th of January, although the Flying Stars take their positions on the 4th of February), the sectors outlined in green below are bad for your mojo. So, do what you must, toss that old mattress out, move that study table that you have been procrastinating on, drill that wall for that photo frame that has been sitting in the box for over 2 months, whatever, so long as it’s done before the 4th of February. After the 4th, keep activities to a minimum in the green highlighted areas, if you can leave these areas alone, all the better. Don’t ya go banging on the wall trying to get ya neighbor’s attention. I assure you that you donch wanna face the wrath of these afflictions.
Did I hear ya ask “What are these 5 Yellow, 3 Killings, Grand Duke, Year Breaker?” Fair question, to be described in future posts :^)
